Into Adulthood:
Post 16 the world suddenly has higher expectations which can be very daunting for a person with FASD. Formal schooling ends, benefit rules change and so do the support structures available.
We are establishing links with other organisations that help people with disabilities find work, go into further education, provide supported accommodation. (We are educating all these providers about FASD and the particular needs of adults with FASD.) Please check out our Partners & Sponsors Page or contact us for details.
We have lots of exciting ideas for the future and would like eventually (when the finances permit) to employ a full-time specialist post 16+ worker. In the meantime, if you are caring for or are an adult with FASD, please contact us for more details of our Post 16 Forum, designed to support you and connect you to others in the same situation.
