We had a superb time in Cornwall, albeit it tiring as it was a whirlwind tour for us (Simon & Julia Brown), as we attended 3 charity events in 2 days!
On the Friday, we had an excellent turn out of around 50 foster carers and social workers from Cornwall County Council for the training session that Julia and Samantha had been asked to present. The course was well-received with lots of positive feedback.
On Saturday morning, The Trust had a stand at the NHS Health Show in Liskeard. We had some good conversations with people and it was great to make more people aware of our work and the support available for those affected by FASD in Cornwall.
Finally, on Saturday afternoon we held the Cornwall Support Group, and it was good to meet some of the new families who have joined since we were last down in Cornwall.
Our sincere thanks to Sam, The FASD Trust Cornwall Co-ordinator, for the kind hospitality given to us by her and her husband, Chris; it was great to be with them again – (despite the incident with the rabbit and its bowl in the middle of the night……….)
