Kent on Sunday

As we started our Support Group in Kent last weekend, we also had an article in "Kent on Sunday" which highlighted the potential dangers of drinking when pregnant, as well as telling people about the Support Group and the work of The Trust.

The Support Group itself went well.  The children had fun making and eating popcorn and playing with the multi-coloured parachute, whilst the adults had "grown-up conversation", sharing experiences and encouraging one another.

Then the children joined the adults and Frances, our Speech & Language Therapist showed us all some fun games we can play at home that teach our children social skills - such as turn-taking, listening skills, helps concentration, social interaction and most of all enables children and adults to have fun together!   We certainly had a lot of laughter and then everyone stayed to enjoy eating lunch together.

The next Support Group for everyone in Kent will be in June; dates will be advised shortly.
