Meet Niamh. Niamh is 18, has FASD and 9th September is the day for her and the thousands of other children and young people growing up today affected by FASD whom we support via our work here at The FASD Trust; the day when we draw attention to FASD, the potential life-long impact of drinking alcohol in pregnancy and highlight our work supporting all those affected by FASD. This year we are wanting to Create Conversation about FASD - find out how you can get involved!
We have renamed our Support Groups, Link Groups and this Autumn (2017) will see new groups start places as far apart as Portsmouth, Bedford and Scotland! A full listing will be posted soon. If you would be interested in running a link group for us in your area the Link Group Host Training Days are held on a regular basis - email Diane at email@example.com to register your interest.
Pregnancy and Alcohol do NOT mix - Baby is Too Young to Drink!
Pregnant women need to be able to make choices about their health and that of their baby based on clear information. Our leaflet and accompanying range of posters (available to order singly or in bulk) gives information about the potential impact on the long term health of baby of alcohol consumed during pregnancy.....
